Alice was raised amongst the beautiful rolling fields and thick woodlands of the Surrey countryside. As an only child with lots of alone time and many self-built treehouses, fantasy fiction, film and games took a front seat in her formative years, fuelling a love for story telling and the escapist nature of complex fictional worlds including Narnia, Discworld, Hyrule, the Marvel and DC universes, Hogwarts, Middle Earth and Wonderland.
Alice’s complimentary obsession for Victorian era art, specifically the Pre-Raphaelite and Art Nouveau movements, was amplified by a creative and progressive education followed by art conservation work within the National Trust’s Petworth House and G. F. Watts Gallery in Compton.
After 4 years as a lead graphic designer for a thriving personalised gift company, Alice followed her dream to start a freelance career, forging Magic Cabin Studios, named after the wooden hobbit hole Alice lived in at the time.
Alice is assisted by her two beautiful dogs, Boo and Waffle.
